Col de Vars

The south side from Guillestre, 19 km at 5.7% to 2,109 m, gentle through the villages of the Vars valley and then steep for the final 6 km above the resort, where the road climbs the open bowl to the pass. Crossed by the Tour de France thirty-six times since 1922, almost always on the way to or from the Izoard.
