Thirteen kilometres at 7.8% from Argelès-Gazost to the ski station at 1,520 m, and the average hides a road that changes gradient constantly: ramps at 10 to 12% alternate with short flats all the way up, so there is no rhythm to be found. A summit finish only, with nothing on the other side. The Tour has finished here seven times.
