The Courchevel side, 26.4 km at 6.5% to 2,304 m, is two climbs joined together: the long road up through Courchevel's villages to the altiport, then a purpose-built cycle path, closed to cars, that climbs the final 7 km in ramps of 15 to 20% broken by short false flats. Nothing about the top half is steady. First raced in the 2020 Tour de France and already a summit the race returns to.
