Five point six kilometres at 4.1% from San Lorenzo al Mare to the village of Cipressa, added to the Milano-Sanremo in 1982 to make the finale harder. It is the second-to-last climb, 20 km from the line, and the place where the field is thinned before the Poggio rather than where the race is decided.
