From Sault the road climbs 25.7 km at 4.4%, through the lavender and then a long forest, before joining the Bédoin road at the Chalet Reynard for the last 6 km to the summit. The first 20 km are the gentlest way onto the mountain; the last 6 are the same bare limestone and the same wind as the other two sides. A different climb from the Bédoin road, and only a quarter of it is shared.
